Treasury Dashboard Highlight — Treasury Asset Breakdown
Understanding the segmentation of the Olympus Treasury is an excellent way to learn more about what the protocol is trying to achieve (Reserve Currency of DeFi) and how it intends to achieve it (backing, partnerships, incubating, etc.).
Find below a brief description of the asset categories within the Treasury:
- Reserve Assets — Assets used to back OHM and maintain stability/purchasing power. This includes stablecoin holdings like DAI & Frax as well as ETH & BTC.
- Protocol-Owned Liquidity — OHM owned by the protocol that is deployed as a part of trading pairs on various DEX’s. These assets earn trading fees and help ensure there is plenty of liquidity for OHM trading.
- Strategic Assets — Assets that give Olympus a voice in the future of DeFi. These include holdings in Convex, FXS, TOKE, and more.
- Olympus Branch — Assets received from “friendly forks” such as Klima & Redacted Cartel for which Olympus has symbiotic, positive-sum relationships.
- Olympus Incubator — Assets received from protocols that have gone through the incubator process, such as Vesta Finance, JonesDAO, and FiatDAO.
- Olympus Pro — Assets obtained from Partner Protocols using the Olympus Pro platform to own their own liquidity.

As a reminder, when the supply growth of OHM outpaces the revenue inflow, RFV per OHM will drop — this is part of the motivation behind OIP-18 & OIP-63 as covered in the December 22nd edition of the newsletter.
